The Patriot Festival-Memorial Day May 30th Charlotte, NC.

In Partnership with Patriot Charities, TEAM X-T.R.E.M.E. and Purple Heart Homes, we will be honoring Wounded Warriors on Memorial Day May 30th, 2011 at the Patriot Festival. Along with TEAM X-T.R.E.M.E. who will run in their masks, our staff will run in "Boots & Utes" in a 5k run entitled “Going the Extra Mile” to honor our local military heroes. This event will take place in the morning on May 30th at the Symphony Park and end nearby. Entrants will have the opportunity to run an extra mile after the finish line. For those who do, Patriot charities will donate a portion of their registration fees ( in their name) to a local charity.

7th Annual Marine Mud Challenge-September 10th, 2012 Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte NC.

GET SOME!!! "BOOTS & UTES STYLE" For the 7th year, Our Staff Members will participate in The Annual Marine Mud Challenge. The Carolina Marines group is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Charlotte-area. Officially titled, the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Greater Charlotte, we are a dedicated group of volunteers with a mission to support Marines and their families and promote the Marine Corps in the Charlotte area through physical fitness fundraising activities and luncheons featuring Marine speakers. Our fundraisers are used to support Marine families - predominantly those at 4th Maintenance Battalion's Charlotte Marine Reserve Center. We assist the Family Readiness Officer and Coordinator with deployment and welcome home parties, programs and family events during deployments, the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and we also provide emergency funds when a Marine and his/her family is in need. We also reserve funding for the families of Marines who are injured or killed in the line of duty. An important thing to note - when we do raise money, 100% is donated to help Marines and their families.  "We definitely hope you had a great time at the 4th Annual Marine Mud Challenge, even though we really messed up the directions on the course and a number of the competitive teams went way out of the way, some didn't make it the mud pit, others had to do parts of the course twice and the list goes on and on. Again, totally our fault for not ensuring that we had more easily understandable directions on the course. We will definitely mark the course with directional signage along the route next year. Some of you paid to run 5.5 miles and got an extra 2 miles for free.!" OOORAH!!!
